WHO THEY ARE
The NH Liquor & Wine Outlets are NH’s premier destination for all your Liquor & Wine purchases!
New Hampshire is one of 18 control states in the nation, where the government controls the distribution of alcoholic beverages as well as being responsible for the regulation of alcoholic beverages. The NHLC operates 77 retail locations throughout the Granite State and serves more than 9 million customers each year. More than $2 billion in net profits has been raised since the first store opened in 1934.
Over the years, New Hampshire residents and those from surrounding states for miles around have chosen to shop for their wine and spirits at NHLC conveniently located New Hampshire Liquor & Wine Outlet stores. This has not happened by accident, but by design, as the State Liquor Commission aggressively pursues a strategy that provides you with the best possible value and the most pleasant shopping experience.
THE PROJECT (Photo & Video)
The Goal of this project was to produce a video that highlights some of the wine makers attending the NHLC’s Annual Winter Wine Spectacular and entice wine enthusiasts to attend.
In 2018, there were nearly 1,300 wines available for sampling, as well as scrumptious local fare, a silent auction and raffle, the Bellman Cellar Select VIP tasting room, and the chance to meet and learn from more than 60 wine personalities. The event draws a sold-out crowd of more 1,200 people each year. Proceeds from the Winter Wine Spectacular directly support Easterseals New Hampshire’s early intervention program, which provides services to hundreds of children with developmental delays and physical disabilities from ages three months to three years.
We were called upon by an Ad Agency client of ours to fly out to Napa Valley and capture footage of the wineries as well as hold interviews with some of the wine makers. We were given 3 days to film for this video. It was an incredible project to work on that went pretty smoothly minus a few bumps in the road mother nature gave to us. After the edit was complete the final product was delivered, the client was thrilled. The commission had stated that it was one of the best videos ever produced for them! The Winter Wine Spectacular was also a massive success! Job well done!
One of the challenges we had faced was The Camp Fire which was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history. During this interview with Mark Neil (Owner of Neil Family Vineyards) The smoke started rolling in. At first we had thought it was fog but shortly after taking a drive up to Mark’s Vineyard we started to smell the smoke. It got a lot thicker than what is pictured above. This made filming much more difficult on our last day in Napa. Another interesting fact is that Mark’s company is much more than just your average vineyard. He is one of the leading pioneers in the valley for Organic Farming Practices. Mark’s company also manages the farming of many different vineyards and is one of the leading subcontractor in the Valley.
